No Tahini Hummus

One of our employees, Yvette, suggested using sesame oil instead of Tahini for hummus.  Delicious!

Needed for this recipe:

2 Tablespoons Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Lemon Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Sunshine Coast Olive oil Co Japanese Roasted Sesame Oil
¼ Teaspoon Vancouver Island Orange and Lime Sea Salt

Ingredients:

1 Can (approximately 15 oz.) chickpeas or garbanzo beans, rinsed, drained and towel dried
3 Tablespoons Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Lemon Olive Oil
1-2 Cloves garlic, peeled and zested (or Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Garlic Olive Oil)
½ Teaspoon cumin (or a splash of Sunshine Coast Olive oil Co. Harissa Olive Oil)
¼ Teaspoon Vancouver Island Spanish Paprika Sea Salt
3 Tablespoons Sunshine Coast Olive oil Co Japanese Roasted Sesame Oil
2 to 3 Tablespoons warm water

Method:

In a food processor, blend at a low speed: chickpeas and garlic. Drizzle in Lemon Olive Oil and Sesame Oil. Add remaining ingredients except water.  Then gradually drizzle in water with the food processor still running until you reach your desired creamy texture.
