BALSAMIC SANGRIA

A summer classic, sangria can be made with less sugar if you flavour it with one of our fruity balsamics.

Needed for this Recipe: Any fruit flavoured Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients:

1 cup brandy (chilled)
2 x 750 ml bottles of red wine (chilled)
2 juicy oranges, such as Cara Cara oranges, sliced thinly (preferably on a chef’s mandolin)
1 lemon sliced thinly (preferably on a chef’s mandolin)
2 limes sliced thinly (preferably on a chef’s mandolin)
¼ cup of a fruity Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Balsamic (see suggestions below)
¼ cup Caster sugar

Method:

Place fruit and sugar in a large pitcher or punch bowl.   Pour in fruity balsamic of your choice.  Top with brandy and white wine.  Serve over ice.

*suggested white balsamic flavours: Peach, Mango, Blenheim Apricot, Coconut, Grapefruit, Pineapple, Cara Cara Orange-Vanilla, Sicilian Lemon, Pomegranate Quince, Cranberry Pear, Gravenstein Apple.

*suggested dark balsamic vinegars: Blackberry Ginger, Blueberry, Raspberry, Lavender, Black Currant, Strawberry, Pomegranate, Tangerine.
