PASTA WITH OUR FAVOURITE 1-MINUTE SAUCES

In Italy, delicious pasta is not covered up with mounds of sauce.  Instead, a thin layer of Bolognese, cream sauce or simply olive oil and balsamic is drizzled over top. 

Mancini Pasta is the most exceptional dried pasta we have ever tried, and it holds pasta sauce    beautifully.  If you are looking for a fast evening meal, simply toss a great pasta in one of our flavoured oils.  Then add your choice of toppings below.

Needed for this recipe:

Your choice of Pasta Mancini Italian durum wheat pasta
Your choice of Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Olive Oil
Your choice of topping, prepared

Method:

Cook pasta according to package directions.  Taste test and cook until the al dente texture you prefer is achieved.  Drain pasta well then toss in about 1 Tablespoon of oil per person.  Top with your choice of toppings (about 1 Tablespoon of each of the toppings listed: cheese, seafood, chicken, herbs, vegetables etc…) and, 1 or two turns of freshly ground salt or pepper, as desired…

Drizzle your favourite balsamic, as desired

Citrus and Seafood

Cooked seafood (simply sauté in same olive oil)

Suggested balsamic drizzlers: Tangerine, Pomegranate, Sicilian Lemon

Place first nine ingredients in bread machine pan.  Then, place yeast on top, not touching any wet ingredients. Select your bread maker’s dough setting.  When the add ingredient warning beeps, add the fruit.

When cycle is complete, divide dough into 16 balls. Place each ball 1-2  inches apart in well-oiled glass baking pans.  Cover and let rise in a warm place 30 minutes. Combine remaining beaten egg with a dash of water and brush on the top of the buns. Cut ¼ inch deep crosses on each bun.  Bake at 350 for 20-24 minutes.
