From the Barbary Coast of North Africa, this Tunisian Baklouti pepper is rare and unique to this region. This fused oil is the only example of this fruity and spicy green chili olive oil in the world. Baklouti chili olive oil is made by combining fresh, early harvest organic olives with an almost equal ratio of fresh, whole green Baklouti chilies. The two, and only two, ingredients are then crushed together, mixed in the malaxer which fuses the fresh green essential oil of the pepper with the organic olive oil. Baklouti adds a savory, tantalizing kick to salsas, marinades, soups, grilled foods, vegetables and more. Caution: very hot!!

Baklouti Green Chili Olive Oil (Whole Chili Agrumato-Style)

This is an agrumato-style olive oil (i.e. made by crushing olives with whole chilis at time of harvst).  Our Baklouti Green Chili Agrumato-Style Olive Oil is created when certified organic, peak freshness Chetoui Olives are crushed with organically-grown, (but not certified) baklouti green chilis.  This oil took ten years of R&D to perfect, since it relies on perfect timing: the simultaneous ripening of the chilis and the olives, the result is an oil that is not simply hot, but bursting with fresh chili flavour. A rare and special oil.

Only two ingredients: Olives and Baklouti Green Chilis.
