Rosemary Foccacia

I use a bread maker to prep much of my homemade bread dough. Otherwise, mix the ingredients and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.

Needed for this recipe:

Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Rosemary Olive Oil

Ingredients:

Dough
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup + 1 Tablespoon warm water
2 Tablespoons Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Rosemary Olive Oil
1 teaspoon yeast
fresh rosemary, if you have it

Topping:
1 teaspoon salt
1 more Tablespoon Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Rosemary Olive Oil

Recipe:

Following your bread makers instructions, layer your wet and dry ingredients, making sure your yeast does not get wet. If your bread maker has an add ingredient signal, add the optional rosemary.

Once your dough is ready, preheat your oven to 450.

Spread dough out on a baking sheet, gently expelling any gas in the dough. Using your fingertips, dimple the top of the dough. Brush the dough with more olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Bake in the oven until golden brown, approximately 20 – 30 minutes (depends on how thinly you spread the dough, so keep an eye on it).

Although the temptation will be to eat it warm, the dough will be more flavourful when cooled to room temperature.
