Salmon or Tuna Canape

Skip the mayonnaise and add Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. flavours to make this an easy appetizer that all ages love.  We carry local canned salmon as well as traceable Line and Pole Certified Tonnino Tuna.

Needed for this recipe:

Tonnino Tuna OR Uncle Kenny’s Smoked Salmon (available in store)
Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Lemon Olive Oil *
Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Blackberry Ginger Aged Dark Balsamic**

*or substitute Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Blood Orange, Milanese Gremolata or Persian Lime Olive Oils
**or substitute Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Pomegranate, Lavender or Coconut Balsamic

Ingredients:

1 baguette, sliced into rounds
1 can Tonnino Tuna OR Uncle Kenny’s Smoked Salmon
1 Tablespoon Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Lemon Olive Oil
½ Tablespoon Sunshine Coast Olive Oil Co. Blackberry Ginger Aged Dark Balsamic
Fresh herbs (such as dill or parsley) or slices green onion

Method:

Mix canned fish, Lemon Olive Oil and Blackberry Ginger balsamic with a fork until well blended.  If you have time, refrigerate 30 minutes to let the flavours blend.  When ready to serve, mix in fresh herbs or onion.  Then spread on baguettes.
